New Grad RN Resident – Telemetry Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital’s 7th floor Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit, a 20‑bed unit specializing in advanced telemetry care for adult to geriatric patients. This position is designed for new graduate nurses to develop clinical expertise while delivering patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program with core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach, including assessment, documentation, and patient education.
• Establish and revise patient care priorities based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Identify and act on data indicating patient health risk to prevent or reduce adverse events.
• Seek supervision or assistance when unable to perform tasks safely and independently.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• New graduate or less than one year of RN work experience, or RN transitioning to acute inpatient care with less than one year of direct patient care experience.

Required skills
