About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital as a New Grad RN Resident on the 9th‑floor Surgical Unit, providing patient‑centered care in a Magnet‑recognized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from admission to discharge.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and revise patient‑care priorities based on acuity, preference, and resources.
• Respond to data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision or assistance when needed to ensure safe, independent practice.
• Document accurately in patients’ medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate or less than one year of RN experience, or RN transitioning to acute inpatient care with <1 year of acute direct patient care.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
