New Grad RN Resident - Stepdown Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital’s Stepdown Unit as a New Grad RN Resident. You will work nights providing direct patient care while participating in a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach on a 7:00 pm – 7:30 am night shift.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
• Document patient care in medical records and respond to clinical data indicating risk.
• Seek supervision when needed to ensure safe, independent practice.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification required for critical‑care areas.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if hired into critical‑care).
• Registered Nurse licensure.
