New Grad RN Resident – Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit

About the role

The Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit is a high‑acuity, 34‑bed unit that provides specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions. This one‑year, accredited Nurse Residency program is designed for new graduate RNs to develop advanced clinical skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with asthma, ventilator and tracheostomy management, high‑flow oxygen, BiPAP, post‑lung transplant care, and pulmonary hypertension.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum, including online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records and respond to clinical data indicating patient risk.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid RN license.
