New Grad RN Resident – Orthopaedic and Spine

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital as a New Grad RN Resident on the Orthopaedic and Spine unit. You will provide direct patient care, support families, and gain hands‑on experience in a Magnet‑recognized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care on the General Surgery 5D Unit, caring for bariatric, neurology, spinal and orthopaedic surgery patients.
• Participate in the one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program, including online modules, simulation labs and hands‑on training.
• Collaborate with a success coach, prioritize patient needs, and respond to clinical risks.
• Document care accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current or pending state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid RN license.
