About the role
The Registrar position in Neurosurgery offers a comprehensive training experience across elective and emergency cranial and spinal procedures within a leading public health network in Melbourne. You will join a multidisciplinary team that values education, research, and high‑quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily ward rounds and manage inpatient neurosurgical cases.
- Run outpatient clinics and participate in theatre sessions for cranial and spinal surgeries.
- Attend weekly cerebrovascular and neuro‑oncology multidisciplinary meetings.
- Participate in fortnightly audit and complex spine meetings.
- Deliver departmental educational presentations and contribute to monthly skull‑base MDMs.
Required profile
- Medical graduate with senior resident (PGY‑3) level or higher experience in neurosurgery rotations.
- Demonstrated interest in neurosurgical practice and research.
- Compliance with mandatory influenza vaccination or valid medical exemption.
