Network Consultant I – Cisco Solutions

About the role

Netsync Network Solutions seeks an experienced Network Consultant to design, implement, and support Cisco‑based network infrastructures for enterprise clients. The role involves leading complex projects, providing Tier 3 support, and delivering knowledge transfer to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and deployment of Cisco networking, SDN, and SD‑WAN solutions across diverse verticals.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, create detailed designs, and produce operational documentation.
• Install, configure, test, optimize, and troubleshoot hardware and software in customer environments.
• Provide Tier 3 support and maintain project documentation throughout the engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of network engineering experience, including LAN/WAN design and implementation.
• Experience in the healthcare vertical and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; active CCNP certification (CCIE preferred).
• Residency in the greater New Orleans or Baton Rouge area; on‑site position only.

Required skills

• Cisco Routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing protocols, Cisco WLC and Access Points.
• Cisco Meraki Switching and Wireless.
• SD‑WAN and SD‑Access knowledge (plus).
• Network security practices, LAN/WAN planning, and troubleshooting.
