Museum Clerk (Part-Time, 26 hrs/week)

About the role
We are seeking a friendly, organized Museum Clerk to join our team on a part‑time basis (up to 26 hours per week). Working under the Museum Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for visitors at the Man House Museum and Mansfield Historical Museum, helping to preserve and promote local heritage.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, provide tours, and answer questions in person or by phone.
- Assist with educational programs, special events, and outreach activities.
- Support historical research, genealogical inquiries, and the compilation of donated documents.
- Maintain exhibits, change displays, and care for historical furnishings.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in museum studies or a related field.
- Willingness to pursue continuing education in museum studies and historical preservation.
- Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays as part of the schedule.
