MRI Technologist

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI exams for patients of all ages and conditions. You will work daytime shifts (7:00 am‑3:30 pm) in a leading‑edge, research‑driven environment, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient questionnaires, charts, and requisitions to identify contraindications.
• Perform MRI procedures according to protocol and conduct daily quality assurance.
• Educate patients about MRI equipment and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintain high equipment uptime, and assist with service calls.
• Process billing through the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Mentor new hires and radiology students and attend in‑service programs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist credential (ARRT, ARMRIT, or CNMT) in good standing.
• Certification in MRI (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) required within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathology.

Required skills

• Operation of MRI scanners and performance of MRI protocols.
• Daily MRI quality assurance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with RIS billing workflows.
• Ability to perform X‑ray imaging as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift patients/equipment up to 75 lb.
