MRI Technologist II – Weekend

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist II to work weekend shifts at its Muhlenberg location. You will operate MRI equipment, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure safe imaging practices while providing high‑quality diagnostic images.

Key responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment and manage image acquisition for patients of all ages.
• Prepare and position patients, select technical parameters, and perform contrast injections under radiologist supervision.
• Ensure prompt submission of high‑quality images and patient data to PACS.
• Perform patient pre‑screening, scheduling, education, and maintain a clean department environment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and a specialized diploma from an accredited radiology program.
• Ability to handle confidential medical information and exercise sound judgment during MRI exams.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) and state registration as a Radiology Technologist.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MRI equipment and image management systems (PACS).
• Knowledge of contrast administration procedures.
• Technical data interpretation and clear written/oral communication.
