MRI Technologist – Florida Weston Hospital

About the role

The MRI Technologist will perform routine and specialized MRI examinations for patients of all ages at Florida Weston Hospital. This PRN position offers the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge imaging technology while delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and validate patient screening safety forms and educate patients about MRI procedures.
• Operate MRI equipment, perform routine, emergent, invasive and special imaging procedures according to protocols.
• Maintain equipment, report malfunctions promptly, and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
• Coordinate scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information; ensure electronic data is transmitted correctly.
• Assist new personnel, orient them to the work area, and support colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and credentialed by ARRT, ARMRIT, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Two years of imaging technologist experience in an acute‑care setting (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MRI equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform patient screening, safety assessments, and documentation.
• Competence with electronic data handling and imaging study distribution.
• Understanding of MRI safety protocols and regulatory standards.
