Molecular Biologist II

About the role

The Molecular Biologist II supports the Consumer Products Services division by delivering high‑quality data from molecular, cellular and biochemical assays. The role requires strong laboratory organization, adherence to good research practices, and the ability to work independently or with minimal guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute protein‑based molecular techniques such as protein isolation, ELISA, qPCR, and Western blotting.
• Perform cell‑culture work, aseptic handling, and in‑vivo rodent studies including tissue collection and dosing.
• Prepare solutions, buffers, serial dilutions and maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks.
• Ensure compliance with client and Bureau Veritas quality systems and safety plans.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports and assist with training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field.
• Minimum one year of hands‑on laboratory experience with protein isolation, ELISA, Western blot, qPCR and mammalian cell culture.
• Ability to work independently following SOPs with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Protein isolation from cell cultures and tissues.
• ELISA and quantitative PCR assays.
• Western blotting.
• Mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.
• Accurate pipetting (single‑ and multichannel) and solution preparation.
• Electronic lab notebook data entry.
• Basic data analysis and technical report writing.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
