Biologist I – Clinical Pathology Analyst

About the role

The Biologist I – ClinPath will support early‑development clinical pathology testing, including hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology assays. This position works in a laboratory environment, maintaining instruments and generating data for biomarker development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform early development clinical pathology assays using automated hematology and chemistry analyzers, including blood and bone‑marrow smear preparation and review.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, prepare and present data using LIMS, Excel and other visualization tools.
• Develop and characterize new biomarker assays, evaluate emerging technologies, and manage workflow and assay request metrics.
• Conduct instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or medical technology.
• Minimum one year of experience with routine hematology, urine chemistry, and clinical chemistry panel testing in early‑development systems.
• Experience working in a highly detail‑oriented laboratory environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automated chemistry systems.
• Proficiency with automated hematology instruments.
• Slide preparation and interpretation of blood smears.
• Immunoassay method development and validation.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint.
