Mobile Service Field Specialist

About the role

MSX International, a partner to automotive brands for more than 25 years, is looking for a Mobile Service Business Consultant and Performance Coach to lead its Mobile Service program. The role combines consulting, sales coaching and hands-on technical training with dealership owners and their management teams. It is a physically demanding field position based in Orlando.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with dealer principals and service managers on profitability, and coach their management teams
• Implement new processes, analyze KPIs and fix broken dealership processes
• Train technicians in the field, including vehicle lifting, oil extraction and change, and vehicle checkups
• Teach rapport-building, active listening and sales techniques to improve customer experience and MS department revenue
• Help dealers develop go-to-market plans and monitor KPIs against sales targets
• Develop a parts stocking plan for the mobile unit and assist in recruiting and retaining MS technicians and coordinators
• Travel 80% of the time, driving and flying

Required profile

• High school diploma (bachelor's degree preferred); 3+ years of customer-facing experience in the automotive industry
• Wide-ranging automotive background, including corporate and retail knowledge
• Proven record of accomplishment with program leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and crawl under vehicles, and to move heavy tools and equipment outdoors in varying weather

Required skills

• Knowledge of automotive service tools and equipment, and ability to train technicians on them
• Basic understanding of automotive systems
• Knowledge of the automotive service sales process and parts operations
• Experience in automotive training and facilitation
