Mobile Engineer – React Native (SF/Boston)

About the role

As a Mobile Engineer at General Medicine you will build and scale the company’s first native mobile application using React Native. You will shape the architecture from the ground up and define the patterns that the broader team will follow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the native mobile app from scratch with React Native and TypeScript.
• Make core architectural decisions and establish shared code patterns across mobile and web.
• Integrate native iOS/Android features (e.g., HealthKit, push notifications, video SDKs) using Swift or Kotlin as needed.
• Collaborate with design, operations, and clinical stakeholders to deliver product features.
• Write product requirement documents, run SQL queries for performance insights, and own QA testing.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building production mobile apps with React Native.
• Strong understanding of native iOS or Android development and comfort working in Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience with Expo build tooling, OTA updates, and native module configuration.
• Ability to work onsite several days a week in San Francisco or Boston and thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment.
