Mobile Application Developer – Smart Home (React Native)

About the role

Carrier is looking for a Mobile Application Developer to join its Digital Products and Software team. You will work on the Smart Home App and Service Technician App, delivering new features and ensuring high‑quality releases for homeowners and field technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile features using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Build UI components and application logic with React Native.
• Integrate cloud‑based APIs to enable connected‑device workflows.
• Diagnose, reproduce, and fix application defects.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code consistency.
• Write and execute unit tests; assist with integration and regression testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and backend engineers.
• Apply secure coding practices, including authentication and secure data storage.
• Provide issue triage and support during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related hard science.
• U.S. permanent resident; sponsorship not available.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years shipping production Android and iOS applications.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with React Native and TypeScript.
