IT Security Analyst – Remote (US)

About the role

Cumulus Media is seeking an IT Security Analyst to join its Corporate IT team on a fully remote basis within the United States. Reporting to the SVP of Information Technology and Security, you will help protect the organization’s systems, applications, and data while shaping security policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across endpoints, identity systems, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Analyze logs and telemetry from SIEM, EDR, and identity platforms to identify suspicious activity and determine root cause.
• Support incident response activities, including escalation, containment, documentation, and post‑incident reviews.
• Respond to security service‑desk tickets related to access anomalies and potential incidents.
• Review vulnerability findings, communicate risk, and recommend remediation actions.
• Assist with security assessments and evaluate the impact of identified risks.
• Develop and improve security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Perform access reviews and user‑entitlement audits across systems.
• Support identity governance and least‑privilege practices.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with monitoring and analyzing security alerts across diverse environments.
• Ability to document incidents and contribute to continuous‑improvement processes.
• Strong communication skills for risk reporting and collaboration with technology leaders.
