Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer

About the role

This senior position leads the modernization of DECAL’s statewide licensing platform, transitioning legacy ASP.NET code to .NET 8+, Azure cloud services, and a React‑based UI. The role requires end‑to‑end ownership from design through production support in a fast‑moving, mission‑critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud‑native solutions using Azure App Services, Functions, and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Modernize legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET (6/7/8/10) and build API‑first services.
• Design, develop, and maintain React UI components and integrate third‑party services.
• Own SQL Server data architecture, performance tuning, migrations, and reporting via SSRS and Power BI.
• Provide production support, root‑cause analysis, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional .NET development (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API).
• Hands‑on experience migrating legacy ASP.NET apps to modern .NET versions.
• Strong background with Azure services, CI/CD, and SQL Server administration.
• 5+ years delivering software in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
