IT Data Entry Specialist

About the role

The IT Data Entry Specialist will support the organization by accurately entering, updating and managing information across multiple child‑welfare applications. This part‑time role requires strong typing speed, attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data while maintaining confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, verify and update data between various organizational applications.
• Review records for errors and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.
• Organise electronic files in a structured manner and retrieve data for reports or projects.
• Generate reports or summaries from stored data when requested.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve data processes.
• Follow data‑privacy and security guidelines.
• Occasional travel, possibly with overnight stays, and vehicle use as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of administrative, clerical or data‑entry experience.
• A college degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Human Services or a related field may substitute for experience.
• Experience in healthcare, social services or child‑welfare is preferred.
• Familiarity with project‑management tools, techniques and methodologies.
