Field Service Technician

About the role

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join its IT services team in Texas. The technician will work onsite in the Amarillo or Lubbock area, providing imaging, installation, configuration and hardware support for desktops, laptops and tablets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system imaging and install/configure OEM operating systems, drivers and applications.
• Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, including memory, hard drives and network interface cards.
• Execute data erasure procedures and stage devices for inventory processing.
• Manage inventory lifecycle tasks such as receiving, quarantining, picking and shipping assets.
• Maintain proficiency with order processing tools (e.g., PackShip, AX).
• Order and return defective PC parts to OEMs to meet service level agreements.
• Communicate resolutions to end‑users and fellow technicians.

Required profile

• Must reside in the Amarillo, TX or Lubbock, TX area.
• Demonstrates teamwork, self‑motivation, initiative and effective time management.
• Ability to work independently and meet defined service level targets.

Required skills

• System imaging and OEM OS installation.
• Hardware troubleshooting (memory, HDD, NIC).
• Data erasure techniques.
• Inventory lifecycle processing.
• Familiarity with PackShip and AX order‑processing software.
