Mixer Operator III - 3rd Shift

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Mixer Operator III for its 3rd shift in Cary, North Carolina. The operator runs production mixing equipment to turn materials into bulk drug and cosmetic product solutions, following work instructions and product history records and adhering to cGMP practices. The schedule is 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clean mixing production lines, verify license plates and lot status, and confirm raw materials are released before use
• Practice stock rotation per FIFO SOP, reconcile product at the end of a run, and operate HMI controls for troubleshooting and operation
• Disassemble and reassemble lines, wash parts manually, and operate CIP and COP (clean out of place) on disassembled parts
• Handle setups and changeovers, keep equipment clean and sanitized, and assist technicians with minor and major repairs
• Enter data accurately into computers and Flexnet, and help with cleaning validations and protocols
• Perform material handling with forklifts, pallet jacks and lifting devices, and assist with mechanical and pneumatic failures of ancillary machines
• Work with minimum supervision, comply with GMPs, and collaborate with coordinators, leads, engineers and departments to improve shift effectiveness, productivity and cost while maintaining regulatory compliance

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and to handle physical demands such as reaching, crouching and visual tasks
• Proficiency in clean room practices

Required skills

• Personal computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Electrical or mechanical experience preferred
• Experience suggesting equipment improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs preferred
