Maintenance Technician - Weekend 3rd Shift

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its weekend 3rd shift in Cary, North Carolina. The role covers equipment assembly and operations support, including preventive maintenance, product and process support, troubleshooting and resolving problems on production lines. The schedule is Friday 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic failures of production machines in a timely manner, and eliminate recurring failures
• Determine and develop your own approach to machinery repair and troubleshooting
• Use full knowledge of motion controls, industrial controls, electrical and pneumatic systems to resolve complex machine issues
• Exercise independent judgment on major breakdowns and lead collaborative repair efforts
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and improve the PM program
• Carry out moderately complex troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Follow quality system requirements and document work
• Help review and execute maintenance procedures through the change control process
• Provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Preferred: associates or bachelor's degree in engineering or science, and 5+ years as an industrial maintenance technician or similar

Required skills

• PLC and electrical controls experience and troubleshooting
• Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting
