Manufacturing Engineering Intern

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering intern in Cary, working onsite. The internship lets you apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, growing industry, contribute to meaningful projects, and work alongside leaders who will mentor you. It suits students majoring in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently.
• Work on projects such as fixture development, assembly line optimization, lean manufacturing implementation, ergonomics and safety improvements, and process validation.
• Document complex processes and present them clearly.
• Network with high-level stakeholders and business leaders.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, remaining enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

What we offer

• Pay of $20 minimum to $35 maximum per hour.
• Sign-on bonus.
