Mix Blend Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Saputo, a global dairy processor, is hiring a Mix Blend Operator for its 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role is hands-on and part of a team supporting dairy operations, with a 12-hour rotating schedule (alternating 3-day and 4-day weeks). Night-shift workers receive a $1.50 per hour premium.

Key responsibilities

• Stage, weigh and record batch ingredients according to SOPs and customer specifications, and mix and blend wet and dry ingredients per the batch sheet.
• Record ingredient usage in the location ERP system and collect pre-blend and final product samples as required.
• Perform batch analytical testing, report product deviations to the supervisor, and follow allergen protocols.
• Follow GMP and food safety requirements, perform environmental controls, product reclaim and rework, and support internal and external audits.
• Operate tanks, pumps and blend equipment, perform CIP/SIP and clean-up, adjust equipment, and safely operate a lift truck.
• Complete batch records, data entry and documentation accurately, maintain good housekeeping and comply with dairy food regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years of food manufacturing experience, dairy experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, HACCP, GMP, 5S, etc.) and strong math skills.
• Lift truck certification or ability to obtain it, and proficiency with touch panels and equipment controls.
• Successful drug screen and background check, good attendance, and shift flexibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software and data entry; SAP is a plus.
• Advanced quality/food safety training or certification is a plus.
