Milk Receiver - B Shift (Night)

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Milk Receiver for its B shift (night) at a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role is hands-on and part of a team supporting dairy operations; shifts are 12 hours long, rotating between 3-day and 4-day weeks, typically Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday, with a night-shift premium of $1.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect bulk tankers, collect raw dairy samples and perform organoleptic and physical testing (visual, odor, flavor, antibiotic, oil and fat), reporting deviations promptly
• Hook up tanker trucks safely, vent them, pump raw dairy into bulk tanks, clean and CIP tankers, and run routine SIP operations
• Complete dairy records, system data entry and documentation accurately
• Perform product reclaim and rework, support internal and external audits, and follow GMPs, food safety requirements and occupational health and safety procedures
• Operate a lift truck safely, maintain good housekeeping and comply with dairy food regulations

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of work experience in food manufacturing; dairy experience preferred
• Lift truck certification or ability to obtain one (Powered Industrial Truck)
• Drug screen and background check passed, good attendance, and willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends

Required skills

• Understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP)
• Strong math and technical skills, including operating equipment controls, touchscreens and mechanical operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work in a noisy, temperature-changing environment
