Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer (GEOINT)

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer for its Chinook Program, which supports an Intelligence Community customer. You will design, develop and deliver software that enables critical national security missions, working on microservices, APIs and web applications that support GEOINT data access, visualization and dissemination. The role sits in a collaborative Agile environment with continuous integration and DevSecOps practices. Gaithersburg, MD is the primary work location, with other possible sites listed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy software supporting the customer's GEOINT mission
• Take part in agile sprints, daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
• Build and maintain secure, containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS
• Develop RESTful APIs and user interfaces with tools such as React, Node.js, Flask or Spring Boot
• Work with mission users and product managers to refine requirements and improve the user experience
• Support DevSecOps pipelines so code meets security and accreditation standards
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers as needed

Required profile

• US citizenship is required per contract
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 2-6 years
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph
• Experience architecting and delivering complex software systems into production
• Preferred: experience on a customer contract or in the Intelligence Community, and familiarity with geospatial tools (GeoServer, PostGIS, OGC APIs, ESRI ArcGIS)

Pay range: $87,100 - $157,450.
