Mid-Level Civil Engineer

About the role

North Wind Group’s LBYD Federal division is seeking a mid‑level civil engineer to deliver engineering, architecture, and professional services for federal clients. The role involves both office‑based design work and field visits, with up to 25% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Produce civil construction documents, including grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility plans.
• Manage permit submittals, coordinate with review authorities, and maintain client relationships.
• Oversee schedule, budget, and scope for multiple projects across commercial, industrial, residential, institutional, and federal sectors.
• Provide technical oversight for design plans, supervise junior engineers and technicians, and ensure quality control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure (or ability to obtain additional state licenses).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience using storm‑drainage design software such as Hydrology Studio, Storm CAD, and HEC‑RAS.
• Knowledge of BIM/REVIT for civil projects (preferred).
