Mendix Developer SME (Remote)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Mendix Developer SME to lead the design, development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix low-code platform (SAP RAD by Mendix), aligned with SAP BTP and enterprise architecture standards. The role is full time, remote, requires a Secret clearance and up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Mendix best practices, platform governance, reusable component libraries and development standards.
• Bridge functional and technical gaps between Mendix applications and SAP back-end systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP) using OData/REST integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects and SAP functional consultants to turn requirements into scalable Mendix solutions.
• Drive Mendix-to-SAP integration via SAP BTP, Cloud Connector and OData services, with proper trust configuration between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, workshops and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to pre-sales: solution scoping, effort estimates and technical proposals.
• Ensure quality through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and Mendix performance standards, and support configuration management and change control under federal security and program compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on software development, including 3+ years on Mendix.
• Mendix Advanced Developer Certification (required).
• US citizenship and active Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to connect Mendix apps with SAP back-end systems.
• Preferred: Mendix Expert Developer certification, SAP BTP or SAP Integration Suite experience, Mendix Native Mobile, and federal security exposure.

• Mendix Studio Pro, microflows, nanoflows, domain modeling and custom widgets.
• REST/OData integration with SAP systems.
• SAP BTP, Cloud Connector and cloud-native deployment.
• Agile/Scrum and DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, automated testing).
• Federal IT security standards and classified environments.
