Member of Technical Staff - Platform Foundations

About the role

Join Reflection's Foundations team to build and operate the core platform that powers every engineering team. You will define golden paths for cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and developer tooling, enabling rapid, reliable, and cost‑predictable delivery of AI services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain opinionated golden paths for cloud projects, networking, and access patterns.
• Build and operate core networking primitives such as routing, DNS, load balancing, and connectivity.
• Provide developer infrastructure including build systems, CI/CD, caching, and test environments.
• Implement secure defaults and guardrails to make the safe path the easy path.
• Establish observability, operational hygiene, and cost‑governance across services and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong infrastructure or platform engineering background with production‑grade systems experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: cloud platforms, network engineering, security architecture, or developer tooling.
• Comfortable navigating complex multi‑team environments and debugging hard infrastructure problems.
• Thrives in a high‑agency, fast‑paced environment with a bias toward action.

Required skills

• Cloud & Multi‑Cloud Architecture: GCP, AWS, VPC, private DNS, load balancers, BGP, large‑scale Kubernetes.
• Identity & Security Foundations: IAM, OIDC, RBAC, KMS, secrets management, OPA, Gatekeeper.
• Infrastructure & Automation: Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes foundations, CI/CD systems, Bazel, build caching.
• Observability & Cost Governance: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, logging/metrics, FinOps, cloud cost optimization.
