Med/Surg RN Contract Assignment - 36 hrs/wk, Days

About the role

AdventHealth is offering a contract Med/Surg Registered Nurse assignment in Parker, Colorado, working 36 hours per week on days. The pay rate is $73.60 per hour, with guaranteed hours. Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care, then implement interventions safely and document them.
• Collect and document patient health data systematically and on time.
• Collaborate on patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer.
• Take part in peer interviewing and peer review processes as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Advocate for patients, ensure safe handoff communication and follow CDC isolation guidelines, PPE use and hand hygiene.
• Participate in quality, safety and effectiveness initiatives and follow regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs.
• Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state.

Required skills

• RN license
• BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (preferred)
