About the role

The Medical/Surgical RN will join the 4 North unit at Indian River Hospital, providing direct patient care during the night shift (7:00 pm‑7:00 am). The role involves working with a diverse patient population and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and execute physician and nursing orders.
Develop, monitor, and update patient care plans, documenting patient conditions and communicating changes.
Assess discharge needs, educate patients and families, and coordinate follow‑up care.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN) with current RN licensure in the state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to perform full range of body motions, lift patients, and work under stressful, irregular hours.
