About the role

The Medical/Surgical RN will provide direct patient care on the 4 South Medical Diabetes Unit at Indian River Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Health System facility in Vero Beach, Florida.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care, monitor patient conditions, and document observations.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and insulin drips, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Develop, update, and evaluate patient care plans and coordinate discharge needs.
Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
State RN licensure.
