Medical Technologist / Lab Technician (PRN)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a PRN Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician to join the Stow Health and Wellness Center. This position performs and interprets laboratory tests of all complexity levels, supporting patient care in a top‑ranked healthcare organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specimen handling, processing, test analysis, and result reporting following laboratory procedures.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge, quality control documentation, instrument calibration, and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations and participate in continuing education and competency assessments.
• Identify and resolve test performance issues or notify supervisory staff as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science/technology from an accredited institution.
• Meets CLIA high‑complexity testing personnel qualifications (grandfathering clause).
• Certification eligible or certified as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) by ASCP or AMT preferred.
• Ability to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts on a 7:00 am‑3:30 pm or 11:00 pm‑7:30 am schedule.
