Medical Technologist / Lab Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, a Magnet‑recognized facility, and provide stellar patient care while working with state‑of‑the‑art laboratory technology. The Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Tech performs and interprets laboratory tests of all complexity levels during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting and record maintenance.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge, adhere to quality‑control policies, document all QC activities, calibrations and instrument maintenance.
• Identify and resolve quality‑control or quality‑assurance issues, or promptly notify supervisors.
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development and annual competency assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Meets CLIA qualifications for high‑complexity testing personnel.
• Certification eligible (ASCP or AMT) or certified as MT, MLT or MLS is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCR techniques and pipetting experience is advantageous.
