Medical Technologist 3 – Full-time Night Shift

About the role

The Department of UHealth Laboratories at UHealth Sole Mia is hiring a full-time Medical Technologist 3 in North Miami. The technologist performs complex microbiological, molecular and immunological tests on patient specimens and supports quality-assurance and instrument maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Verify specimen identification, prepare samples, and handle all specimens safely.
• Perform and interpret complex microbiology, molecular biology and immunology assays.
• Calibrate equipment, order supplies and maintain inventory.
• Administer quality-control tests and record data according to procedures.
• Support laboratory operations across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis as needed.
• Assist with bone-marrow and blood-bank procedures, including specimen collection and product inventory.
• Participate in training, competency assessments and regulatory compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical laboratory experience.
• Valid State of Florida Medical Technologist license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
