Medical Records Specialist

About the role

Comfort Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coloplast, is looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join its growing team. The role involves interacting with medical facilities and providers to collect, manage, and scan medical record documentation into the database.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and maintain customer medical records, uploading leads into the database.
• Review records for missing documentation, verify physician notes and signatures, and correct deficiencies within required time frames.
• Contact referral sources to obtain corrected or missing documents.
• Collect verbal and written orders, ensuring authenticated doctor orders before billing.
• Identify and resolve complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
• Report errors and quality issues to management and contribute ideas for process improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Clerical skills with proficiency in data entry and computer programs.
• Willingness to engage in telephone direct sales.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Call‑center experience desired.
