Medical Lab Technician – Fort Smith

About the role

Join the UAMS Family Medicine Center in Fort Smith as a Medical Lab Technician. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day blood draw and testing operations, ensuring accurate specimen collection and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain patient specimens via phlebotomy and prepare them for testing.
• Perform laboratory tests and operate testing equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.
• Prepare specimens for transport to external facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited program recognized by ASCP.
• Minimum six months of phlebotomy experience.
• Eligibility for ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
