Medical Doctor – Infectious Disease Specialist

About the role

Infectious Disease Services of Georgia is seeking a board‑certified Medical Doctor to join its Roswell office. The physician will provide expert infectious disease consultation, primary care, and oversee the on‑site infusion center for complex cases.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex infectious conditions, including MRSA, HIV/AIDS, fungal and tropical infections.
• Deliver preventive services such as immunizations, travel medicine, and routine primary‑care visits.
• Administer intravenous antibiotics and immune globulin therapy using the office‑based infusion center.
• Collaborate with wound‑care nurses, pharmacy consultants, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and use the patient portal for follow‑up.

Required profile

• Board certification in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine (or eligibility).
• Fellowship training in Infectious Diseases preferred.
• Active medical license in Georgia or ability to obtain one.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment expertise for rare or treatment‑resistant infections.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, patient safety, and quality care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and patient management portals.
• Experience overseeing office‑based infusion therapy.
• Wound‑care management skills.
