Medical Assistant – Urogynecology Clinic (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support patient care in the Urogynecology Clinic, providing in‑person, electronic, and telephone assistance under the supervision of a licensed health‑care provider. This full‑time position focuses on delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and providers for each visit, ensuring all necessary information and equipment are ready.
• Communicate with patients by phone and in person to answer questions, schedule follow‑ups, and provide clear instructions.
• Document clinical information accurately in the organization’s electronic data systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized exam room and ready it for the next appointment.
• Assist the attending physician during examinations and procedures as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED (required); completion of a formal medical assistant training program (preferred).
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge relevant to urogynecology and general medical assisting.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications (e.g., electronic health records).
• Effective verbal and written communication for interacting with patients, families, and health‑care staff.
