About the role

The Medical Assistant will support the Pulmonary Medicine team at South Pointe Hospital, providing direct patient care, assisting with screenings and treatments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations during day shifts.

Key responsibilities

Assist with patient screenings, collect specimens, perform tests, and document care.
Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and maintain equipment and supplies.
Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting program or equivalent military medical training.
Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within new‑hire period).

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Medical Assisting knowledge and clinical skills.
Experience with specimen collection and basic diagnostic testing.
