Medical Assistant – Pulmonary Clinic (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support patient care in the Pulmonary Clinic, working under the supervision of a licensed health‑care provider. This full‑time position involves direct interaction with patients, documentation of medical information, and coordination with physicians to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and providers throughout each visit, preparing exam rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.
• Answer patient questions, provide clear explanations of procedures, and complete registration and documentation as needed.
• Communicate with patients by phone and in person to address needs promptly and accurately.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and update the company’s data systems with pertinent medical information.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation workplace drug and alcohol testing policies when working in occupational health settings.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural differences.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED (required); completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program (preferred).
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
