About the role

The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of individualized patient care in a primary clinic setting, working under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. This role involves direct patient interaction, coordination with providers, and accurate documentation of medical information.

Key responsibilities

• Support patients and providers throughout each visit, ensuring preparation and answering questions.
• Provide excellent patient service both in person and over the phone.
• Complete documentation, including patient registration when needed.
• Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, and required credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and diverse needs.
• Comply with Department of Transportation drug‑testing programs and all organizational policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED; formal medical assistant training preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.
• Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
