About the role

The Medical Assistant will join the Orthopaedic Practice at Indian River Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Working Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, you will help create a welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors while supporting clinical and administrative workflows.

Key responsibilities

Room patients, conduct intakes, collect specimens, perform basic tests and document care.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, administer selected medications under provider direction, and maintain equipment and supplies.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

Required profile

Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting program or equivalent military medical training.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience with demonstrated proficiency.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Medical Assisting certification (CMA, NCMA or CCMA) preferred.
