About the role

The Department of Urology at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant 1 to provide hands‑on patient care on site in Miami, FL. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed physician, the MA will support clinical procedures and ensure high‑quality, culturally competent care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with multi‑skilled tasks and clinical procedures.
• Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, specimen collection, and preparation for exams.
• Document patient information accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies while adhering to institutional policies.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, charge nurse, and other team members to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain a compassionate environment that respects patients' spiritual and cultural beliefs.
