About the role

The Medical Assistant will support the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics team at Willoughby Hills Family Health Center, providing patient‑first care in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with screenings, treatments, specimen collection, and documentation of patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to clinical staff.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military medical training.
  • Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it during the new‑hire period.

Required skills

  • Medical assisting techniques (specimen collection, patient monitoring, medication updates).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Use of office equipment and electronic health record systems.
