Clinical Audiologist – Hearing Implant Focus

About the role

The Clinical Audiologist will join the Audiology‑Integrated Surgical Institute at Willoughby Hills Family Health Center, providing diagnostic testing, hearing‑aid management, and patient counseling in a fast‑paced ENT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic audiological tests, interpret results, and report findings to support medical diagnosis.
• Conduct electroacoustic analysis, hearing‑aid checks, minor repairs, and calibrations of audiology equipment.
• Provide counseling and education on hearing loss, hearing aids, and communication strategies to patients and families.
• Supervise student externs, clinical fellows, Au.D. students, and otolaryngology residents as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, service development, equipment purchases, and fee setting.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) and eligibility for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license.
• Current Ohio license to practice audiology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) from ASHA obtained within the new‑hire period.
• Experience in a fast‑paced ENT practice serving pediatric and adult patients is preferred.

Required skills

• Electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids and cochlear implants.
• Hearing‑aid programming, checks, and minor repairs.
• Daily and monthly equipment checks, biological calibrations, and electroacoustic calibration.
