Medical Assistant II – Clinical Support

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide direct patient care and support clinical providers in a fast‑paced, culturally diverse environment. Working under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will help ensure safe, high‑quality care for patients at the Lennar Medical Center.

Key responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with clinical procedures and patient management following evidence‑based standards.
• Provide hands‑on patient care, including vital signs, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team, escalating when necessary.
• Participate in unit/clinic meetings, contribute to team morale, and engage in continuous quality improvement.
