Medical Assistant – Head Neck Surgery

About the role

The Medical Assistant will join the Head Neck Surgery team at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing a welcoming environment for patients, families, and visitors while supporting clinical and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings, treatments, specimen collection, and documentation of patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and support medication management.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, Medical Service Technician).
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it during the new‑hire period.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical assisting techniques including specimen collection and patient monitoring.
• Medication management and documentation.
• Data entry and other office software skills.
