About the role

Join the General Surgery Practice at Indian River Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. You will work in a collaborative, compassionate environment providing state‑of‑the‑art patient care on Florida’s Treasure Coast.

Key responsibilities

Assist with screenings, treatments, medication updates, specimen collection and patient monitoring.
Administer specific medications under provider direction and maintain equipment and supplies.
Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
Update health maintenance information, pre‑visit planning and document patient care.

Required profile

Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) upon hire.
Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.

Required skills

Medical Assisting certification (CMA, NCMA or CCMA) preferred.
Computer proficiency for data entry and scheduling.
