Medical Assistant – Chemo Infusion – Oncology Clinic – Full Time

About the role

The Medical Assistant will provide individualized medical care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy infusions at the Jeff Hwy clinic. Working under the supervision of a licensed health care provider, you will support both patients and providers throughout each visit.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and providers during chemotherapy infusion visits, ensuring preparation and documentation are complete.
• Communicate with patients by phone and in person to address needs, answer questions, and coordinate follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, entering clinical information into the company’s data systems.
• Support the flow of patients through the clinic, preparing exam rooms and handling patient registration as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge relevant to oncology and chemotherapy infusion.
• Proficiency with computers, software applications, and web‑based systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and health‑care teams.
